2012 Doll Clothes Batch Three Part B

During 2012, I did three batches of doll clothes and each batch went to different locations.  One to Minnesota (for two twin girls), one to Ohio (for one little girl) and one to Australia (for three little girls).  The outfits shown in this post were sent to Australia.

After making the little p.j.'s, slips, panties and robes for three dolls, I went through my doll dress patterns and selected some new to me patterns to use.  For the first set of dresses I used a pattern I purchased online from etsy.  I also purchased some additional props (shoes, stockings, socks, etc) to use when dressing and using my doll to model the outfits.

These little dresses were very easy to do.  Two pieces.  I used the same fabric for the armhole and ties. I also anchored the ties in place with a few machine stitches.

Next dress pattern I used I loved it.  Was easy to use.  Designer did a fantastic job of explaining and detailing her pattern.  Loved how these turned out.

This finish was a favorite of mine.

Once I had a few dresses done, I decided to do some separates.  I used different colored thread for each set.

I made some t-shirts and I discovered there is a difference in knit fabric.  Also learned it is easier to sew and the end result is so much nicer if I use a twin needle.

I loved the feel of this pretty yellow knit fabric.  Was soft and sparkly and so easy to work with.
