Dutch Treat Designs - They Followed the Star WIP

Completed the top and bottom border for the next block on my Dutch Treat Designs - They Followed the Star piece.

Outlined the camel.

Goal is to finish this block and move the Q-snap frame by the end of the weekend.

Next block is a corner one and has another palm tree in it.  All four corners do.

Have to say after working with DMC six strand thread and smaller count fabric, the Anne cloth and DMC pearl cotton seems so big.  It's nice though being able to pull a length, cut it and thread the needle without having to separate the strands.  I do have to separate the strands with the Caron Waterlilies thread.

For a smile...

Leah watching from the window.  I've been taking her out on the front porch when the weather is nice.  She's good with a leash and halter collar.  I go out when the weather is nice, cool and there's a breeze blowing.  Now, when I open the inner front door, she thinks she's going outside for a time.  We had storms here the past couple of days.  Power was out for a time.  Lots of rain.  Humidity is very high right now.  High temperatures and humidity don't agree with me.

Forgot to add...did get the 66ft leash I ordered for Leah.  Too long.  Goes pass the curb into the street!!  I use it, but tie it so it is shorter.  Leah loves being in the yard, stalking the bugs and creepy crawlies.
